Fault Handling Of Mechanical Seal Operation

(1) Leak at the beginning

1 Check whether the assembly quality meets the technical requirements and whether the spring compression amount meets the requirements.

2 Check if the sealing end faces of the moving ring and static ring are damaged.

3 Check if the sealing end face is correct.

(2) The amount of leakage during operation is suddenly too much, and should be stopped for inspection at this time.

1 Check the wear of the moving ring and static ring seal end face and the change of surface quality. If it is damaged, it should be repaired or replaced with new ones.

2 Check that the auxiliary ring of the moving ring and static ring is installed correctly (for example, the lip of the V-ring should face the pressure end) and damage. If the installation is wrong, reinstall it. If it is damaged, replace it.

3 Check whether solid impurities are mixed in the sealed cavity, whether the transmission seat is full of impurities, affecting the axial floating of the moving ring and the compensation of the spring.

4 Check if the set screw is loose and whether it affects the normal working condition of the mechanical seal. 5 Check if the screws of the fixed end cover are loose, causing the deflection of the sealed end cover.

6 Check that the axial turbulence and radial vibration of the pump exceed the technical requirements used.

7 If the bushing is installed, check whether the seal between the bushing and the shaft is damaged and the position is correct.

8 Check whether there is circulation of sealing fluid in the sealed body, and whether the mechanical seal is in dry friction state.
